Question on multisig

Hi, I know that a Bitcoin multisig address can have up to 15 signatures, right?
Is there any plan to substantially increase this number?

Development Update Nov. 17

We plan to release Litecoin Core 0.13rc in about one week. After that, we will further test it for one or two weeks and then release the final version.
We are going to include quite many features in this release as mentioned in the Litecoin Core roadmap https://litecoincore.org/.
Beside that, we will have the following changes.
  1. Litecoin Core 0.13 will not use BIP9 for SegWit. BIP9 breaks merge mining of altcoins like dogecoin and requires those altcoins to hard fork to be mergemined with Litecoin again. We choose not to use BIP9 for SegWit because we believe other altcoins are also part of the cryptocurrency ecosystem and breaking them is not consistent with our moral values. Instead, we will use the traditional IsSuperMajority method to activate and enforce SegWit, i.e. once 75% consensus of miners is reached, SegWit gets activated but is optional, and if 95% consensus is reached, SegWit will be required.
  2. The current multisig addresses have a prefix "3", which can sometimes be confused with Bitcoin's multisig addresses. To solve this issue, we will support a new prefix "M", while the prefix "3" will still be supported to ensure absolute backward compatibility.
  3. The replace by fee (RBF) feature will not be enabled for Litecoin at this moment for the reason that the Litecoin network is still very efficient. We may enable it a bit later.
  4. The network wide Alert system will be retired.

Selling 3,000 ETH @ $1 Each - thru escrow

Hi all,
I am offering 3,000 ETH for 0.0035 BTC each that's (~$1). That's 10.5BTC for 3,000 ETH. I deposit 1BTC (~10%) of the BTC amount to bitrated.com escrow using multisig as a guarantee of delivery after the thawing phase is over.
Steps are like this: 1. You contatc me either by PM or post here and we choose an escrow that suits both of us. I prefer one of the top 5 agents with the highest rating on bitrated.com here is the list: https://www.bitrated.com/agents 2. After we choose the agent. We make a contract with everything written here in the notes + your Ethereum address. Then a Bitcoin multisig address is created from 3 private keys. You have one, I have one and escrow has one. To unlock the fund's 2of3 keys are needed. I transfer 1BTC to the escrow address. 3. You check on blockchain and see that I have made the insurance deposit. Then you make your deposit. 4. After the thawing phase is over and transaction can be sent over the network I commit to sending the ether to your ethereum address up to 48 hours. Probably much sooner if it not falls on weekend. 5. After the ether arrived in your ethereum address you release the bitcoin to me and the deal is done.
Now, If I don't deliver the ether as promised you get your BTC + my 1BTC insurance to your address by opening a dispute to escrow on bitrated.com.
For more infor on how escrow works watch the clip on bitrated.com main page. About the process and how the multisig is used, it's really not a big deal look on FAQ at Trades and Payment section: https://www.bitrated.com/faq There are also screen shots you can see about how it's done.
It's possible to get less than 3k eth if you want. If you are interested please write here or PM me.
Thanks.

Bitcoin's multisig addresses highlight coin's SoV

Gold is one of the world’s most precious metals, one often stored in large vaults to ensure its security. Many cryptocurrency users have often drawn parallels between Bitcoin and Gold, going on to term it a Store of Value [SoV]. Despite its stagnated price, however, many of its users are holding on to the digital […]

Complex MultiSig question

I believe litecoin and bitcoin multisig addresses follow the same format. If you construct a litecoin MS, but then use that address on the bitcoin network, would you be able to spend from the MS?
I assume you could only do it with a raw transaction.
Would bitcoin have any issue with the public keys used to spend from that address?
I ask because I recall some feature upgrade that was going to validate pubkeys as valid ECDSA keys to limit data key spam technique that creates "bloat"
