How is my fork preparedness plan?

What should I do to prepare? Right now I have some BTC in bitstamp, but it is recommended to keep the bitcoins offline? I'm thinking I'll create a bootable Ubuntu USB stick and generate a paper wallet by following this guide https://www.facebook.com/hackaday.io/posts/1698322936847643
Then I'll simply write down the information on https://www.bitaddress.org/ on a piece of paper and keep this safe.
When I have the paper wallet I'll transfer the BTC from bitstamp to my paper wallet. Is this enough or should I do something differently? Do I need to install a wallet like Electrum on my computer, or is it enough to simply transfer my coin to the paper wallet and keep them there until this all blows over?

[FS] Tytera MD-380 DMR - $100 + shipping

I'm selling my MD-380 after it sat unused for months after buying it. Unit is in basically new shape (still has the plastic peely bit on the screen).
Comes with:
The radio is in fully functional condition on TX and RX.
This radio DOES HAVE the Shmoocon MD-380 Promiscuous Firmware patch applied. I will only be clearing my codeplug unless you want them intact for whatever reason.
Ships from US 80526 to US, will probably fit a Priority Mail Medium box, so ~$13.45 most places via USPS priority. I can also ship UPS if you'd prefer. PayPal, Google Wallet, and Bitcoin accepted.
Pictures of the gear. It's all current, I only set the clock correctly for the verification image.
